Title: Watching and Waiting

 

Description: This quilt was made in the days leading up to the American invasion of Iraq. We all knew it was imminent and as we watched and waited we could only imagine how people's lives would be disrupted by the coming turmoil.

Materials: Commercial, hand dyed and hand-screened cotton, velvet silk, brocade, linen, lamé, synthetics, and cotton and metallic threads.           

Machine pieced and hand embroidered and embellished.
